Echo Sound Works shows you how to make a modern and thick sounding supersaw lead in Sylenth. It’s a sound that will work with Pop and EDM!
For some reason reinventing the wheel never gets old with sound design. Every producer has messed with a supersaw sound at one time. They creep their way into nearly every genre. I recently made one that I thought was worth sharing. This thick supersaw lead in Sylenth has a nice modern touch to it.
It’s pretty easy to make. Two oscillators are using saw waves, one is acting as a noise generator and the last oscillator is using an inverted triangle saw wave for some character. Make sure to down tune the octave’s to -1 for the saw waves to help spread out the sound more.
This is one of the only sounds I’ve ever made in Sylenth where I boosted the master cut off filter up to 100%. But sometimes with a supersaw lead in Sylenth, that just works. I then used the Modulation Envelopes to tame the filter just a little bit.
